DSC_0004We were delighted to welcome talented local teenage author, Lily Divall to school on Tuesday 13th June where she shared her story on getting her novel ‘A False Creation’ published and worked with more than 120 pupils from Years 7 to 10 on developing their creative writing skills. Lily was very inspirational and provided our students with some fantastic sessions through the day.  Each pupil was set the challenge to produce a short piece of creative writing which Lily judged over lunch.  The quality of their writing was superb making the judging extremely difficult.  However, the winners were declared as:

Henry Yates (Y7)

Alice Heaton (Y8)

Shivam Keshvala (Y10)

The three winners received a signed copy of Lily’s book ‘A False Creation’.  Congratulations to our winners and to everyone involved in the day!DSC_0008
