On Thursday 22nd September members of the Eco-council along with a small group of year 9 pupils took their scientific skills and enthusiasm for the subject into the local community. Pupils at Chuter Ede primary school spent the morning using state of the art microscopes, bioviewers and the iPAD 2 from the comfort of their own classroom. The session allowed the primary school pupils to take part in practical activities to support their curriculum, providing lasting memories of their time with us. The workshop on micro-organisms that was delivered was such a success that provisional workshops have been scheduled once every half term over the current academic year. It is intended that these sessions will develop with a wider network of feeder primary schools enlisting the help of many of our students. Finally the pupils involved in this session deserve a massive thank you and commendation for their efforts during the session they were true role models and students to be proud of.
