Post 16 Awards News Release

Posted by Suzanne Alexander

We were delighted to welcome both current and former students to our Post 16 Awards just before the Christmas break.  Last year’s Year 11 and Year 13 students and their families joined us at the Awards on Monday 18th December  to be presented with their GCSE and A Level certificates. Our Y13/12 Academic Scholars were invited too along with our Head Boy & Head Girl to receive recognition for their work.  Jordan Howard was presented with The Bonfield Prize for Geography Trophy for gaining the highest mark in GCSE Geography.  The Awards were followed by a buffet and a chance to catch up with friends and members of staff.

Mr Philip Everett, Head of Communications at The Education Business Partnership, EBP kindly acted as our guest speaker at the event. EBP, based in Lincoln, is a social enterprise developing the skills of young people. They are proud to support young people across the country, helping them develop the skills they need to thrive. Through many of their programmes, like the National Citizen Service,  Work Experience and Mission Mentor, young people have entered the world of work better equipped and prepared for what lies ahead. EBP works to ensure that all of its services provide young people with the opportunity to develop the skills that employers are looking for.
